Beautifully colored interior by Washington Interiors

Color is the fastest way to change how a room feels.

A bad color choice costs two rounds of paint and a weekend you don't have. I start with the light, the furnishings, and the flow between rooms, and give you a palette that works the first time.

Painting & Color Design

Color is the single highest-return update in any room. I look at the natural light at different times of day, the fixed finishes you're keeping, and how each room connects to the next. You get a specific, contractor-ready palette, not a shortlist of maybes.

The Paint Sampling Process

Paint chips don't tell the whole story. Light changes color at every hour of the day. Here's how I make sure you love it before a drop goes on the wall.

01

On-Site Assessment

I visit the space and read the natural light at multiple times of day. North-facing rooms pull color cool. South-facing rooms run warm. What looks perfect in a store looks completely different at home.

02

Sample Selection

I narrow the field to three to five candidates per room, accounting for the fixed finishes you're keeping, the furniture, and how adjacent rooms connect. You see a curated shortlist, not a hundred chips.

03

Live Wall Testing

Samples go on the actual wall in large swatches, not small chips. We evaluate them in morning light, afternoon light, and with artificial light on. No guessing. No surprises after the first coat.

What you receive

A finalized palette document with exact paint names, brand, sheen level, and room-by-room application notes — formatted for your painter so there's no back-and-forth on the job site.
